Vasalunds IF was one of 48 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during FCD Indoor Cup 2017. They participated with two teams in P04-Lätt/Medel and P04-Svår/Extra Svår respectively. The team in P04-Svår/Extra Svår made it to the the Final in Slutspeland won it over FC Järfälla P05 by 7-0.
In addition to this, Vasalunds IF have participated in FCD Indoor Cup before. During FCD Indoor Cup 2016, Vasalunds had one team playing in P05-Svår. The team in P05-Svår made it to the the Final in Slutspeland won it over AIK FF U by 4-2. Vasalunds comes from Spånga which lies approximately 9 km from Djursholm, where FCD Indoor Cup takes place. The area around Spånga does also provide 41 additional clubs participating during FCD Indoor Cup 2017 (Among others: Stuvsta IF, FC Djursholm 3, Hässelby SK FF, Spånga IS FK, Karlbergs BK, IFK Haninge, Vasalunds IF/Kista, Hägersten SK, Huddinge IF and Arameisk-Syrianska IF).
